
Tabassum E Nur
Sr. Lecturer
Tabassum E Nur is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Bangladesh University. She holds an MS in Renewable Energy Technology from the Institute of Energy, University of Dhaka, and a B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronic and Communication Engineering (EECE) from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Her academic and professional background reflects experience in engineering education, renewable energy, and academic coordination.
Academic Experience
Tabassum E Nur has been serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of EEE at Bangladesh University since May 2015. She also served as Course Coordinator in the same department from February 2018 to December 2022, contributing to academic coordination and course-related activities. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Guest Faculty in the Department of EEE at Bangladesh University from April 2015 to May 2015.
Earlier, she served as a Lecturer in the Department of EEE at World University of Bangladesh from May 2011 to May 2015. Her academic experience encompasses university-level teaching, course coordination, and engagement in engineering education.
Professional Practice
In addition to her academic experience, Tabassum E Nur worked as a Proof Reader for the National ID Card Project of the Bangladesh Election Commission from November 2007 to January 2008. She also completed Industrial Training on Cellular Mobile Phone Technology from December 2009 to January 2010, gaining practical exposure to cellular communication technology.
Professional Development
Tabassum E Nur has participated in professional training and workshops related to renewable energy and engineering education. In August 2025, she participated in the German Training Week on Solar System Designing and Implementation in Bangladesh under the GIZ German Energy Solutions Initiative. She also completed training on Outcome Based Education and BAETE Accreditation in August 2021 and training on Teaching Methods and Techniques in August 2015. These professional development activities have strengthened her knowledge of contemporary teaching practices, accreditation requirements, and renewable energy technologies.
