Tawhida Akter is a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Bangladesh University. She holds a Master of Pharmacy and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Comilla University. Academic Experience
Tawhida Akter is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Pharmacy at Bangladesh University. In this role, she contributes to university-level teaching, student support, and academic activities within the Department of Pharmacy. Her academic background in pharmaceutical sciences provides a strong foundation for her teaching and research-oriented activities.
She also gained research experience as a Research Student at the Bioequivalence Lab of BCSIR Laboratories, Dhaka, where she gained practical exposure to pharmaceutical research and laboratory-based bioequivalence activities.
Professional Development
Tawhida Akter completed Pharmaceutical Industrial Training at ACI Limited, Narayanganj, from June to July 2022, gaining practical exposure to pharmaceutical industrial operations and practices. She also completed Hospital Pharmacy Training at C D Path & Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd., Cumilla, from January to April 2023, developing practical experience in hospital pharmacy services and professional healthcare practices.
She presented the research paper titled “Phytochemical Screening and Evaluation of Antioxidant, α-Amylase Inhibitory and Antimicrobial Effects of Methanol Extract and Four Fractions of Caesalpinia digyna Bark: In Vitro and In Silico Studies” at the International Conference on Biotechnology in Sustainable Development, held at Khulna University in October 2023. Her presentation received the Best Speaker award, recognizing her contribution to pharmaceutical and biotechnology-related research.
