Kanak Kanti Saha is an architect and academic with experience in architectural education, professional architectural practice, design, and visual communication. He holds a Master of Arts (Architecture) from the Dessau Institute of Architecture, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Bangladesh. His academic training and professional experience provide him with a multidisciplinary perspective that connects architectural design, education, and creative practice.

Academic Experience

Kanak Kanti Saha has been serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Bangladesh University, Dhaka, since 2024. His academic responsibilities include architectural education, design studio teaching, student mentoring, and participation in departmental academic activities. Prior to joining Bangladesh University, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Leading University, Sylhet, from 2022 to 2024. Through his teaching experience, he contributes to the development of students’ design thinking, architectural knowledge, and critical understanding of the built environment.

Professional Practice

Alongside his academic career, Kanak Kanti Saha has maintained active involvement in professional architectural practice. Since 2019, he has been working as an Architect and Co-founder of Wriddhi Architects, Dhaka, where he is engaged in architectural design and professional practice. His continued involvement in practice enables him to bring practical perspectives, contemporary design approaches, and real-world project experience into his academic work.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a Junior Architect at Dasein Architects, Dhaka, in 2017, where he developed his foundation in professional architectural practice. In 2018, he also worked as an Associate, Graphic Designer & Illustrator at Brandquisite, Dhaka. This interdisciplinary experience strengthened his skills in visual communication, graphic design, and illustration, complementing his architectural expertise.

Kanak Kanti Saha is an Associate Member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB). His professional affiliation reflects his continued engagement with the architectural profession and commitment to professional standards and the advancement of architectural practice in Bangladesh.
