Md. Arif Mahtab Kabir is an architect and academic with professional experience in architectural education, architectural design, design collaboration, and professional practice. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology. His combined academic and professional experience enables him to bring practical architectural knowledge and contemporary design perspectives into the academic environment.
Academic Experience
Since November 2025, Md. Arif Mahtab Kabir has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Bangladesh University. Alongside his teaching responsibilities, he also serves as the Director of Student Welfare (DSW), contributing to student support, welfare initiatives, and the overall development of a supportive academic environment. His academic engagement includes architectural education, design studio teaching, student mentoring, and participation in departmental activities.
Professional Practice
Alongside his academic career, Md. Arif Mahtab Kabir has maintained active involvement in professional architectural practice. Since August 2023, he has been working as a Partner Architect at Rekhachitra Sthapatya, where he is engaged in architectural design and professional practice. His role provides continued exposure to design development, project coordination, and the practical implementation of architectural ideas.
He also worked as a Design Collaborator at Chinta Sthapatya from August 2023 to December 2025, contributing to collaborative design activities and architectural projects. Prior to this, he served as an Architect at Chinta Sthapatya from June 2022 to July 2023, gaining experience in architectural design and professional project development.
Earlier in his professional career, he worked as an Architect at Trikon Architects from January to March 2022. These professional engagements have provided him with diverse experience in architectural design, project development, collaborative practice, and the application of architectural knowledge in real-world contexts.
