
Abeg Rahman
Lecturer
Abeg Rahman is an architect and academic with experience in architectural education, professional practice, architectural design, and academic development. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET), with his academic foundation further developed through his secondary and higher secondary education in Barisal. His professional journey has been complemented by recognition in architectural competitions and continued engagement in professional development activities.
Academic Experience
Since October 2025, Abeg Rahman has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Bangladesh University. His academic responsibilities include architectural education, design studio teaching, student mentoring, and participation in departmental academic activities. Prior to joining Bangladesh University, he served as a Graduate Assistant at North South University from May to September 2025, gaining additional experience in academic support and higher education.
Professional Practice
Abeg Rahman has gained professional experience through his involvement with architectural practices in Bangladesh. From January to April 2025, he worked as an Architect at Amur Architecture, contributing to professional architectural projects and design development. Earlier, he worked as an Architect Intern at Studio Dhaka from March to April 2023, gaining practical exposure to architectural design and professional workflows.
From June 2020 to June 2022, he worked as a Trainee at Archetype Ltd., where he developed foundational professional skills and gained exposure to architectural practice. These experiences have strengthened his understanding of design processes, project development, technical coordination, and the relationship between academic learning and professional practice.
Professional Affiliation
Abeg Rahman has been an Associate Member of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) since June 2025, holding Membership No. AR-571. His professional affiliation reflects his engagement with the architectural profession and commitment to professional standards and continued professional development.
