Aneeka Habib
Senior Lecturer and Design Coordinator
Aneeka Habib is an architect and academic with extensive experience in architectural education, academic coordination, design studio development, and professional practice. She holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) from BRAC University. Her academic foundation, combined with professional exposure and years of teaching experience, enables her to contribute to contemporary architectural education with a strong focus on design, critical thinking, and studio-based learning.
Academic Experience
Aneeka Habib joined the Department of Architecture at Bangladesh University as a Lecturer on 12 March 2017 and served in that position until 27 July 2024. Since 28 July 2024, she has been serving as a Senior Lecturer, contributing to architectural education, design studio teaching, student development, and departmental academic activities.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has undertaken important academic coordination roles. As Program Coordinator from 1 January 2023 to 15 January 2025, she contributed to the coordination and management of academic programs. Since 1 January 2026, she has been serving as Design Coordinator in the Department of Architecture, supporting design studio coordination and academic activities related to architectural design education.
Professional Practice
Aneeka Habib has also gained professional exposure through architectural practice. From October 2014 to December 2014, she worked as an Intern Architect at Sangath Vastu Shilpa Consultants, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This experience provided valuable exposure to professional architectural practice, design processes, and an internationally recognized architectural working environment.
