Professor
Dr. Uzzal Kumar Prodhan is a Guest Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Bangladesh University. He is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Trishal, Mymensingh. With extensive experience in teaching, research, and higher education, he has maintained a long-standing academic association with Bangladesh University while continuing his academic career at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Jahangirnagar University, along with an M.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering and a B.Sc. (Hons) in Computer Science & Engineering from Islamic University, Kushtia.
Academic Experience
Dr. Uzzal Kumar Prodhan has a distinguished academic career spanning more than two decades. He has been associated with Bangladesh University since May 2005, initially serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering from May 2005 to March 2012. Since March 2012, he has continued his association with the department as a Guest Faculty, contributing his academic expertise and professional experience to teaching and learning activities.
Alongside his association with Bangladesh University, he has been serving at Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Trishal, Mymensingh, where he is currently a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. Prior to his appointment as Professor in February 2021, he served as an Associate Professor from February 2018 to February 2021 and as an Assistant Professor from March 2012 to February 2018. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Lecturer at Smart Computer Science & Technology from May 2004 to April 2005.
Professional Development
Dr. Uzzal Kumar Prodhan has successfully completed the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification and received the Microsoft Certificate of Excellence. This professional certification complements his academic expertise and extensive experience in computer science and information technology.
Research Work
1. PhD Research Work: An advanced and sustainable telemedicine model for the third world countries: The Bangladesh Context.
2. Brief Description of the Thesis Work: For the Partial fulfillment of my M.Sc degree I have completed a Thesis named “Experiencing Serial Implementation of Advanced Encryption Standard”.
3. Brief Description of the Project Work: For the partial fulfillment of my b.sc degree i have completed a project named “Design & Development of a Hospital Management System” using Oracle 8i and Developer-6i.
