
Mohammad Arifin Rahman Khan
Assistant Professor
Mohammad Arifin Rahman Khan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Bangladesh University (BU). He holds a B.Sc. (Engg.) in Computer Science and Engineering from AUB, Dhaka, an M.Sc. in Mobile and Satellite Communications with distinction from London Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and a research degree from Edith Cowan University (ECU), Australia. He is also a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and has extensive experience in teaching, research, academic supervision, and professional development in the field of computing and communications.
Academic Experience
Mohammad Arifin Rahman Khan has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University since July 29, 2024. Prior to this, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of CSE at Bangladesh University from February 25, 2013 to July 28, 2024. His academic experience also includes working as a Teaching Assistant at Edith Cowan University, Australia, during 2017–2018 and 2018–2019. He has been involved in research activities as a Research Assistant and has contributed to international academic publications as an Associate Editor and reviewer for international journals.
Professional Practice
He holds the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification, obtained in 2005. His professional background combines academic teaching, research, networking, and scholarly publication activities. He has also undertaken professional training in foundation-level academic practices, teaching methods and techniques, and university teaching and learning through programmes conducted by Bangladesh University, the Graduate Training Institute (GTI) of Bangladesh Agricultural University, and the Centre for Learning and Teaching at Edith Cowan University, Australia.
He has extensive experience in academic supervision, having supervised 5 completed and 3 ongoing thesis students, as well as 51 completed and 8 ongoing project students. His supervision experience includes guiding students in academic research, thesis development, project implementation, and the successful completion of their academic work.
