Lecturer & Academic Coordinator
Tanveer Hasan is a Lecturer and Academic Coordinator in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Bangladesh University (BU). He holds an MSc and a BSc from Daffodil International University. With experience in university teaching, academic coordination, teaching assistance, laboratory instruction, and mobile application development, he brings both academic and practical industry experience to his professional role.
Academic Experience
Tanveer Hasan has been serving as a Lecturer in the Department of CSE at Bangladesh University since January 2024 and has been serving as an Academic Coordinator since February 2025. In these roles, he contributes to classroom teaching, student support, academic coordination, and the effective implementation of departmental academic activities. Prior to joining Bangladesh University, he served as a Lecturer-Lab at Daffodil International University from January to December 2023 and as a Teaching Assistant at the same institution from January to December 2022.
Professional Practice
His professional practice combines academic teaching, laboratory instruction, academic coordination, and software development. Before pursuing his academic career, he worked as a Mobile Application Developer at Datasys Limited, Bangladesh, from March to July 2021. This industry experience provided practical exposure to mobile application development and complements his academic expertise in Computer Science and Engineering.
Research Work
1. As a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Bangladesh University, supervising undergraduate students in NLP and IoT related research work.
2. As a Lecturer Lab in the Department of CSE at Daffodil International University, actively involved in the Multidisciplinary Action Research (MARS) Lab, contributing to a study entitled “An IoT and Hybrid Machine Learning Based Real-Time Web Framework for Optimizing Crop Recommendation”
3. As a Teaching Assistant at Daffodil International University, worked in DIU NLP & ML Research Lab and published a research paper titled “Prediction of Bangladeshi Urban Children’s Mental Health for the Effect of Mobile Gaming Using Machine Learning” in Scopus-indexed journal.
