Associate Professor
Md. Mokshud Ali is an accomplished academic and finance professional with extensive experience in accounting, finance, economics, financial engineering, and business administration. He holds an M.Phil. in Sustainability Accounting from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, an MSS in Economics from Jagannath University, an MSc in Financial Engineering from WorldQuant University, USA, an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Premier University, Chittagong, a Mini-MBA in Financial Management from EILM, Dublin, Ireland, and a BBA in Accounting from Premier University, Chittagong. His multidisciplinary academic background provides a strong foundation for teaching, research, and professional engagement across accounting, finance, economics, and business studies.
Academic Experience
Md. Mokshud Ali has extensive experience in higher education, having served in academic positions at several universities in Bangladesh. He has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at Bangladesh University since 10 April 2025. Prior to joining Bangladesh University, he served as an Associate Professor at the University of Scholars from December 2023 to April 2025 and as an Assistant Professor at Times University Bangladesh from September 2021 to November 2023.
Earlier in his academic career, he served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Presidency University and held the positions of Assistant Professor and Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC). His academic experience encompasses university-level teaching in accounting, finance, economics, and business administration, contributing to student development and the advancement of business education.
Professional Practice
Alongside his academic career, Md. Mokshud Ali has gained professional experience in business development, contract management, sales, and marketing. He served as an Officer in Business Development at R.M. Interlinings Limited from November 2009 to March 2010. Earlier, he worked as a Contract Management Trainee in the Sales and Marketing division of Navana Petroleum Limited from June to July 2009. These professional engagements provided practical exposure to business operations, contract management, market development, and corporate practices, complementing his academic expertise in accounting, finance, and business administration.
