Assistant Professor & Coordinator
Momotaz Katun is an Assistant Professor and Coordinator in the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh University. She holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics from Jahangirnagar University, completed in 2006, and a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the same university, completed in 2005. With extensive experience in university-level teaching, academic coordination, and departmental leadership, she has contributed significantly to the academic activities of the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh University.
Academic Experience
Momotaz Katun has been serving in the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh University since June 2013. She has been serving as an Assistant Professor since August 2018, following her tenure as a Senior Lecturer from June 2013 to August 2018. Throughout her academic career, she has been actively involved in university-level teaching, student support, and departmental academic activities. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Momotaz Katun has undertaken several academic leadership roles in the Department of Mathematics. She served as Head (In-Charge) during several periods, including August–September 2013, September–October 2014, and October–November 2015. She has also served as Coordinator during multiple periods, including December 2015–February 2016, March–December 2017, and from March 2018 to the present. Through these responsibilities, she has contributed to departmental coordination, academic planning, student support, and the effective implementation of academic activities.
