Nazrul Islam Howlader is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh University. He holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Mathematics from the University of Chittagong. With more than three decades of experience in mathematics education, he has served in teaching, academic leadership, departmental administration, and examination-related roles across several educational institutions.

Academic Experience

Nazrul Islam Howlader has been serving as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh University since September 2024. Prior to joining BU, he served as a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Dhaka City College from June 2023 to June 2024. He spent a significant part of his academic career at Lalmatia Govt. Mohila College, where he served as Lecturer from 1992 to 2008, Assistant Professor from 2008 to 2012, and subsequently as Head of the Department and Associate Professor from 2012 to 2022. Earlier, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics at Naziur Rahman Degree College, Bhola, from 1988 to 1992.

In addition to his teaching and departmental responsibilities, Nazrul Islam Howlader has contributed to academic administration and examination activities under the National University. He was appointed as a Head Examiner and served as a committee member responsible for setting Honors-level examination questions. Through these responsibilities, he has contributed to academic assessment, examination management, and the maintenance of academic standards in higher education.
