
Dr. Md. Zakaria Hossain
Assistant Professor
Dr. Md. Zakaria Hossain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh University. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Rajshahi, completed in 2013, along with an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. (Hons.) from the same university. With extensive experience in university-level teaching and academic quality assurance, he has contributed to both teaching and institutional academic development at Bangladesh University.
Academic Experience
Dr. Md. Zakaria Hossain has been serving in the Department of Mathematics at Bangladesh University since June 2014. He has been serving as an Assistant Professor since December 2016. Prior to this, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics from June 2014 to December 2016. Through his academic career at Bangladesh University, he has been involved in university-level teaching and contributed to the academic development of the department.
Professional Development
Dr. Hossain has contributed to institutional quality assurance and academic development at Bangladesh University. He served as the Head of the Self-Assessment Committee of the Department of Mathematics under the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Bangladesh University as part of the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP). In this capacity, he contributed to the self-assessment and quality enhancement activities of the department.
