Since its inception in 2001, BU has been at the forefront in Computing by producing technically skilled and competent IT Professionals to meet the needs of the local and international market. The department has experienced significant growth over the last few years, and is now home of 20 full time faculties, with strong groups in theory, systems, graphics, media, programming languages, computational science, security, AI, and robotics.
As a technology leader with roots in academia, we are promised to equip our students with the right technology so that they can propel themselves into exciting and fulfilling careers. Our goal is to create a knowledge-based society where our graduates can impart into the rapidly changing technological challenges.
BU CSE Students launched the very first law portal of its kind in Bangladesh. The vision of this law portal is to let people understand the laws in our country so that the correct implementation of law can be enforced. Through this law portal general people as well as lawyers can easily gather knowledge about different dimensions of law
Knowing law is one of the most fundamental right and requirement of the citizens. Today most of the people are unaware of their legal rights and therefore betrayed by their rivals. Different countries have different types of law. There are many countries where law portal is available, but most of them are for the commercial purpose. Few portals are present where people can retrieve their desired results for free.
Fully Controlled Digital Home is no more a Luxury! CSE Students made it Affordable!:
Fully controlled digital home had always been considered as a luxury of rich people because of excessive cost to install the system. BU CSE students made it affordable. It is now within the reach of mass people with lots of inexpensive cool features and soon to add more.
The System provides some of the modern luxury & security features to you. Now you can control Light or fan or AC or any electronic devices in home by voice command, Blue-tooth, GPRS or Website. To control the system remotely, GPRS connectivity is added. You can also monitor your home from remote area by using Remote Video Surveillance System. For example if you are outside of home but you want to see what is happening in your home you can easily login to system and watch the live video of your home in your mobile device. Moreover, you can also access your PC and do the necessary tasks from any internet enabled computer in the world by using Web Desktop which is specially built for this purpose. Furthermore, if any unauthorized person wants to enter in your home the IR-Security System will inform you by sending SMS & store the image of that unauthorized person in your computer for further action and also generate a voice alarm. Some one in the room. So that ensures the security of your valuable things. Also you can identify and monitor the location of your valuable assets e.g. precious metals remotely. Finally, Virtual mobile application is a Universal mobile Driver by which you can exactly perform some same task e.g. Remote call, Phone book access, SMS red-write of your mobile device from our new invented computers virtual mobile. Water tank controller, automated entrance/exit gate, remote TV connection is to be added shortly.
